Nana's SDGs Initiatives

What are the SDGs?
The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are international goals that aim to create a sustainable and better world by 2030. They consist of 17 goals and 169 targets, and pledge to "leave no one behind" on the planet. The SDGs are universal goals that not only developing countries but also developed countries themselves should work on, and Japan is also actively working on them.

We are committed to promoting food diversity by developing menu items that allow vegan customers to enjoy Japanese food culture, such as vegetable sushi and soy minced meat rice.

As a member of the "Saita Agriculture Association," which provides a forum for agricultural professionals to exchange ideas and hold social gatherings with immigrants, we are part of the network in the town of Saita where our shop is located, and contribute to the sustainable development of the region. Events hosted by Old House Vegetable Cafe Nana include study sessions aimed at improving eating habits, in-store concerts featuring local artists, and the "100 Soybeans Campaign," where we grow soybeans with neighborhood children, creating opportunities for interaction with local people across multiple generations and working to build a community.

With the cooperation of neighboring farmers, we actively incorporate vegetables grown in the local city of Mitoyo, promoting local production and consumption.
